FieldEx is a mobile-first CMMS and field service management platform designed for scheduling, work orders, and general maintenance operations. It is a capable tool for service dispatch and preventive maintenance workflows. If your operation is in oil and gas, mining, construction, or utilities and needs a dedicated inspection management platform with industrial regulatory compliance, asset integrity tracking, and AI-powered failure prediction, Field Eagle is built for requirements that FieldEx does not address.

Field Eagle is the only inspection platform in the industry with a built-in client portal. Your clients get secure, real-time access to inspection reports and data. FieldEx has no client portal. For inspection service companies and contractors delivering inspection services to external clients, this is a fundamental operational gap.
Field Eagle AI Preventative Maintenance analyses years of accumulated inspection data to predict which assets are heading toward failure, prioritize repairs by risk and cost of inaction, and optimize inspection schedules based on actual risk. FieldEx has no AI failure prediction capability. Its preventive maintenance is schedule-based, not data-driven.
Field Eagle maintains compliance documentation for API 510, API 570, API 580, API 581, API 653, MSHA, OSHA, NERC CIP, PHMSA, and other industrial regulatory frameworks. FieldEx is a general field service tool. It does not have inspection programs built around the specific regulatory requirements of oil and gas, mining, or utilities operations.
Every inspection in Field Eagle links automatically to the specific asset record it relates to, building longitudinal condition histories that enable trend analysis and failure prediction. FieldEx tracks asset service history but is not designed to build the inspection-driven condition histories that industrial asset integrity programs require.
Field Eagle is built by Konverge Digital Solutions, a custom software development company. The platform can be fully customized including custom features, workflows, and enterprise integrations. User reviews of FieldEx consistently flag limited customization as a significant weakness – workflow and rule changes often require system-level intervention rather than simple configuration.
Field Eagle is NASPO ValuePoint approved for government procurement. Government agencies and public utilities can procure Field Eagle without a full RFP process. FieldEx does not hold NASPO ValuePoint approval. See: government inspection software.

FieldEx may be the better fit if:
Yes. Field Eagle is built specifically for oil and gas inspection requirements including API standard compliance, asset integrity management, pipeline inspection documentation, and offline operation for remote and offshore sites. FieldEx is a general field service CMMS and is not purpose-built for oil and gas inspection programs.
FieldEx uses per-user pricing with a free tier for up to five users and paid plans billed per user per month. Field Eagle pricing is custom and built around your specific operation rather than a per-seat model. Contact Field Eagle to discuss pricing for your requirements.
Field Eagle focuses on inspection management, asset condition tracking, and compliance documentation rather than field service dispatch. If your primary need is service technician scheduling and dispatch, FieldEx may serve that use case better. If your need is structured field inspection programs with industrial regulatory compliance, Field Eagle is built for that.
